but herein lies the question - the iBeer is not the iPint - but predates it by a year or so....
I think it's captured people's imagination because it is a way of showing off how cool your iPhone.
It's basically surprising and relatively interesting. But it isn't useful. Apart from as a one off showing off piece.
As you say, if there was a way of linking this to purchase / cool bars where the brand is available then it would be far better. For instance if this had been part of the "Green Light District" for Grolsch it would have been much better.
Experiments in new technology often get talked about. But only because of their newness. I'm looking forward to seeing someone come up with a properly useful utility for socialising/drinking that lives on the iPhone / mobile phones in general. I was hopeful that Dodgeball might do this... but it has disappeared now.
